She makes her own clothes for the most part and adds subtle intricacies to her fairly basic silhouettes.
Personality: Attentive to detail and good at listening, Charlotte feels like she fits in perfectly to her surroundings. It’s not her goal to have a substantial amount of attention placed on her. Charlotte does appreciate a small amount of credit and does feel offended when someone doesn’t recognize her. Charlotte’s not overly opinionated but she does feel some things strongly. She’d rather hold her tongue and save her voice for when it really matters.
History: Born to a French woman and English man, Charlotte grew up in a small house. Her mother worked at a dress shop and as soon as Charlotte could hold a needle and stitch a straight line she began work. Even as a small girl she loved the dresses she saw being made right before her eyes and decided that if she couldn’t have them she would have to settle for making them. But her ideas for designs, colors, and fabrics always were above what the owner wanted for their creations. Charlotte always had to tone down her embellishments or find a different material to use.
At the age of twenty she received an invitation from a small theater to create their costumes. The pay wasn’t so great but they offered her a place to stay and all her materials. Charlotte left the dress shop and was fairly successful in the theater. Her costumes were well received by the performers and patrons alike. With her talent developing Charlotte wanted to move on to larger projects. Word came of the old opera house reopening. This could definitely be her chance. She auditioned and was given the job on a provisional basis. If she completed her projects on time she was told she’d have the job. Excited at the prospect of working with others with talent Charlotte

Falling onto the small bed in her room Charlotte placed a damp cloth on her head. It was cool against her skin, relieving some of the pain her head was causing her. She tried to massage her forehead through the thin fabric but it didn’t help. A basin sat on her night stand and Charlotte placed the cloth in it. The sun was already set and the city was colored in purples and blues. And her work still wasn’t done. Two dancers dresses were on their models, hems still needing finishing and some final details required her attention.
Sitting up slowly Charlotte smoothed the fabric of her own dress. The dark green material was rougher than she remembered, but it was an older one. When was the last time she had made anything for herself? Not in a while, but no matter. She looked decent and that was all that was required of her. And these costumes wouldn’t finish themselves.
