Name: (Miss) Rowena Elisabeth DuMonde
Age: Unknown (relatively young appearance, she just refuses to tell anyone)
Place of Birth: Vallee de Champagne, raised in Toulouse, though
Parents: Petyr Dvorak (pronounced "Dehvorjak"), a Russian immigrant and farmhand, Elisabeth, a seamstress
Appearance: thin mouth, hard grey eyes, premature wrinkles around her mouth and brow, tall, wiry, thin brown hair.
Personality: Arrogant, plenty of bravado, cynic, she has a kind streak but it rarely shows.
Password: inside my mind
History:
Born in the middle of her parents' journey to find work in Toulouse, Rowena has constantly been on the move since birth. She spent most of her days running errands for the Marquess DuMonde, the noblewoman whom Rowena's mother made clothes for, and whose husband Petyr worked for.
Rowena fell in love with the DuMonde's son, Dominique, whom she later married in secret at the age of 15, to the fury of his parents.
They ran away together to Paris where they lived a relatively comfortable life for a year, however, after encountering one of the men sent to 'persuade' Dominique to return, her husband fell ill and died of internal hemorrhaging two weeks afterwards.
In pay for her silence about these acts, the DuMonde family gave Rowena a sizeable sum of money, part of which she spent on extensive singing lessons, her talent was soon discovered and she was employed at the Opera Populaire as an understudy to La Carlotta
Her experiences with the DuMonde family and the loss of her husband has left her cynical and vindictive towards life, part of the reason she still keeps her married name.
RP Sample:
Rowena winced as Carlotta's voice raised into a shrill whine as she was currently biting into one of the manager's for the nth time. Pitiful man, Rowena had no patience for the woman and refused to give into her ridiculous requests, which had caused frequent clashing between her and both Carlotta as well as the managers. Ugh. Why she stayed in this opera instead of finding a more accommodating work atmosphere elsewhere was something she asked herself with much regularity.
