Angel smiled charmingly back at the Celestine. Reaching cautiously out he took her hand and laid a gentle kiss on her smooth knuckles. They’d past the polite introductions and he couldn’t help but eye the lovely woman. Though he would have to keep from his normal flattery since it wouldn’t be proper because business, and Mademoiselle Giry’s attitude toward him kind made him restrain himself.
“I glad I have done well so far then.”
He gave a little smirk, which quickly faded when Meg exclaimed. Angel glanced at the blonde and stood back up straight. Guess he wasn’t doing so well with getting on her good side. He nodded with an expression that showed wonder at why there was a reason to get excited about it.
“Yes. You see when I was around six years old a servant was poisoned. I didn’t really know her that well, but it sparked my interest.”
Because he was locked up because of it and it seemed everyone went mad. But he didn’t need to add that sentence in. It put it as shortly and plain as possible. Though he wasn’t sure if sounding indifferent about it had been the best way to say it.

"Well I guess different things do spark different interest for people." she said even tough it was poison she found what he said every reasonable. Her interest had been fairy tails, and while it was much more common and less deadly then Angels it was not her place to say what people should or should not be interested in.

"Yes... but poison?" Meg's face paled. This topic was frightening her even more. A servant poisoned? By whom? As horrifying at this was to her, she was too curious about it for her own good. Any normal girl would most likely scurry away and quit prying, but Meg had to know more.
Meg looked down at her feet. "Oh... I'm sorry" She sighed. She had been incredibly rude to Angel today and she knew it. She felt bad for ruining what was going on between Celes and Angel. They were obviously trying to have a pleasant conversation. "I should be going..." Meg started to leave, but hesitated just in case he felt like sharing any more details.

“Of coarse! If we all were ‘sparked’ by the same thing then we would all be interested in the same thing. The world would be a deadly bore of a place wouldn’t you think?”
Angel asked tilting an inquiring eyebrow up at Celestine. She seemed very calm about his quit vague explanation, or at least accepting. It was an odd thing for him to see not a flinch at the mention of his hobby. Though he would hardly expect the same reaction if he actually said he did more then just study them. He would kind expect the reaction that Mademoiselle Giry was giving him right now.
That fearful shock wide eyed disbelief look. He received from both men and women a like. Angel sometimes wondered why he still wasn’t locked in his room because his unusual interest and having his fond nickname slandering the Marcellinus name in whispers. But because he was used to it he smiled at Meg and nodded.
“Yes poison. Rather that then necromancy or something of the sorts.”
He said like it was no big thing. Why people where so fearful of it he hadn’t the slightest idea. It wasn’t like every poison in the world would kill you, and he wasn’t going to use any on someone for anything but defense. Plus it wasn’t rare for a servant to be poisoned in the upper classes. Whether it was because they were testing food or to keep a secret he had more then one servant up and die. This particular incident was different for him though.
Angel curiously looked down at Meg when she bowed her head in apologize. Normally people would think how she acted that she would need to apologize, however he was perfectly fine with it. Giving a charming smile saying that ever thing was fine he shook his head.
“I don’t see why there is a need for you to do so, but if you want to leave I fear I most ask for forgiveness for bringing up such a grim topic with ladies I have just met.”
He swept her a regal bow before coming up with a playful smirk across his lips. That uneasy look in Meg’s eyes was mixed with curiosity. Though he was not on her good side, at least he might be able to get on it with keeping her interest. But he wasn’t going to give every detail away at once.
“I’m afraid I have been talking about it to long anyways. It’s not very polite to take over a conversation when first meeting is it? So how about it Mademoiselle Leroux? I believe my sister would be in great delight that I come home with a bit more knowledge of fairytales rather then theories on Nathaniel Hawthorne.”

Meg turned back around to face to two of them. She was awfully embarrassed for acting so stunned about the topic. Maybe it wasn't as bad as she thought it was.
"Don't apologise! I was the one being so narrow-minded!" She protested, hoping to hear a little bit more about his passion. Everyone should be passionate about something, no matter how unusual it is. She wondered what it would be like if everyone thought ballet was so strange. That wouldn't stop her from dancing.

"Nonsenses Meg there is no need to leave." she said frankly while she enjoyed the company of Mr. Marcellinus she should have felt quite odd being along with him. She did not blame Meg for felling the way she did. Most girls would have the same reaction, Celestine just happened to be slightly different then most girls.
"Oh Meg as told me a story about a Phantom that use to live in this Opera house." she said answering Angels question to her. She also want to change the subject for Meg's sake tough brining up the phantom was probably going to do no good. Even when Meg told her the story one night she seemed uneasy. But it was the first thing Cele's could think of, and she really liked to story. Mostly because it took place in the building she was in.

Angel’s attention went back to Meg who looked fuddled. He hoped it wasn’t his fault for that expression. What he would have said he wasn’t sure, but luckily she relieved his worry. If he had embarrassed her at that time he probably would have given up on trying to get on her good side. But she was interested in his hobby so maybe he’d be able to hold her curiosity until they could speak to each other without formalities. If he couldn’t flirt with a woman he at least tried to get them as friends.
“It’s not narrow mindedness Mademoiselle Giry. You are simply not used to the idea, and it’s quit an odd one to get used to. I mean what sort of man that is not a chemist is interested in such a thing? But if you want I can help the thought become less queer.”
He said with a smile that promised he’d continue to inform her on his passion, maybe even more on why he started. Angel doubted that though since he only told close friends the complete story. Him and Meg being good friends he didn’t see, but he could see him and Celestine close. Turning his smile on her he raised an eyebrow at the mention of the fabled Opera Ghost.
“Really? What do the rumors say now?”
He asked glanced between the two. Angel hadn’t been there the night that the Opera House burnt down, and though everyone said it was the Opera Ghosts fault he never believed in the story. Just a tale to scare the ballet rats. But he looked quit interested to hear the story.

Meg was completely taken by surprise at Angel's statement, and she was certain it showed on her face. She was all too eager to answer, "I would love to know more about your passion, Monsieur." It was easier to think of the poison if she related it to a passion, like hers for ballet. The fear on the topic she felt earlier has been replaced with intrigue.
Meg's eyes grew wide at Celestine's mentioning of the Opera Ghost. She was sure it was safe to speak of him now; It was over three years ago and he was no where to be seen. Her mother had warned her about saying negative about him, however. She did love being the one with the knowledge. "Actually, I only told her the stories from three years ago. Have you heard them? I don't know of any recent rumors that may be circulating."
