Meg sighed. "No, I wish I did. My mother won't even tell me!" Meg smiled and pretended to be upset over the fact that her mother wouldn't reveal which opera they were performing. "They must not have reached a decision, yet. She would have told me if they were sure about the opera."
"We are doing wonderfully! Things have been stressful while rebuilding the theatre, but Mother seems to be handling it well. I am so anxious to see the choreography she is coming up with! She only briefly told me about it. I'm sure this will be one of the best operas yet!" Meg was pushing it now. She was excited about this show, but she was concentrating more on lifting Christine's mood. It was hard to see her fighting with her sadness.

Christine smiled. "Oh, that's wonderful. I can't wait to see what she comes up with either," she brushed a few curls away from her face, anxiously wringing her fingers. "Your mother always has a way to make up the most beautiful, yet excruciatingly difficult, routines I've ever been able to perform and watch," she giggled a bit before smoothing her skirts slightly.
"Hmm... they? So then there are new managers, then, obviously. Do you know their names? I should have to get acquainted with them eventually if I plan to come back," she stated, looking over her shoulder for a moment before turning back to Meg. "As I'm sure they wouldn't like some strange girl they've never seen in their opera house without knowing why she's there." Christine's eyebrow rose slightly and a soft snicker was released.
Then again, the previous sets of managers didn't like receiving notes from some strange man they didn't even know existed, she thought casually to herself.

Meg gave a put on chuckle as Christine snickered, though she didn't understand what she found to be so funny. "Yes! Their names are Andrew and Jacob Leroux. They are very nice and very good managers. I'm sure they will be excited to have you here. With Carlotta being gone, there isn't exactly a leading lady yet. I'll have my mother tell them how good you are." There was really no doubt in her mind that Christine would get to be the leading lady, but she didn't feel like Christine had that kind of confidence in herself. Christine's anxiety was beginning to rub off on Meg and she started feeling a little jittery and nervous. She decided not to make a comment about her saying 'if I plan to come back'. She was sure she would stay. Meg would just have to make her... or at least try to. (( hey! now that we have a phantom, do you want to ask her to join the thread? If not, that's okay too. I know you might want to have a one-on-one thread somewhere. ))

Christine smiled. "Really? So then there's no doubt that she's not coming back?" Her eyebrow rose again. "Then again after what happened to her I wouldn't want to either..." Christine smirked slightly. "But... perhaps now the Opera will be a bit more peaceful, hm?" A small grin appeared on her face.
"Where is your mother, any way?" Christine peered about the theater for a moment or two before looking back to Meg. "I should very much like to see her again. It's been so awkward being away, actually." She ran a hand through her curls, shifting her weight from one leg to the other casually. "I remember how I sometimes used to wake up and think about what was going to happen in rehearsal that day... only to realize I wasn't in the opera house," she giggled a bit, sounding just as cheery as she had been before the entire catastrophe. Meg had a way of lifting her mood, even if it perhaps didn't come off that way.
