Character Basics
Full Name: Victoire Lucille Leblanc
Nickname(s): N/A
Birthday: October 8th
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Desired Position: Ballerina
Character Information
Appearance:
Victoire is very dainty. She is thin and slightly shorter than average, with girlish curves that designate her as a woman and not a child. She is very pale, with pale golden hair that when down falls in waves past her white shoulders. Her eyes are large and rimmed with dark, thick lashes, with misty blue irises. Her lips are full and pink, often chapped, and she possesses a dainty little nose and chin. She looks very much like a porcelain doll, excepting the openness of her expressions. Whatever she feels runs across her face clearly, however she might try to hide it. She practices endlessly, and so is most often found in her dancing attire with her hair high on her head. Her movements are exceptionally graceful, so much that it seems that she floats across a floor. She holds her head high and will look a person directly in the eye without hesitation.
Personality:
Victoire is the personification of responsibility and distrust. She is of average intelligence and is not very educated, but she is exceptionally street smart. She can barter the last shirt right off of the back of a beggar man and leave him happy with his sale, and can pick a pocket or a lock with equal ease. There is very little that shocks her, as she has seen very many things both beautiful and terrible. She abhors drink, gambling, and other such base activities. Victoire is a hard worker and devotes herself entirely to dancing, which is her one passion and release. She can be very rude to others and hardly ever feels regret or the urge to be generous. She is very proud and stubborn and will not tolerate discussing her past on the streets, despite how it has hardened her. At heart she is very lonely and does not much like the image that she projects, though habit and insecurity dictates that she must fight to remain in the good position she has found herself.
History:
Victoire was very young when her mother died and her father ceased to take care of she and her brother, Henri. Henri took on every positive role in her life from then on, protecting her and stealing so that they might be fed and clothed. She grew up treasuring each penny and possession, with the idea that only her brother could ever be trusted to love her and take care of her. One day Henri came home to their hovel and dragged her to a place beyond her wildest and grandest dreams: the Opera Populaire. She fell in love with it then and there, and thus the dreaming began.
She saw the ballerinas in their practice and decided that she must be one of them. At that tender age she began her training, and was forever grateful for her position. She worked endlessly to better herself in her field, longing to belong in the beautiful palace of the Paris opera, and in doing so bypassed the development of valuable social skills. She has the propensity to be very jealous, and so finds it difficult to feel kindly toward the other girls.
Henri became very successful as a male supporting singer, and thus their situation improved greatly. He also began to involve himself in all sorts of irresponsible hobbies of which Victoire was expressly opposed. Now a woman, she resents Henri’s over protectiveness and insistence on treating her like a child. Despite their differences, Victoire remains endlessly devoted to her brother.
