Full Name: Armand Faure
Nickname(s): N/A
Birthday: September 8th
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Desired Position: Inspector
Character Information
Appearance:
Armand is youthful and active. He is visibly impatient, and more often than not has a determined gleam in his dark green eyes that leaves no room for argument. He is a bit hasty in his dressing and so looks a bit disheveled unless forced to clean himself up with more care. He has a handsome face and form, being lean and fit and a bit taller than average. He usually has a bit of stubble on his face and cheeks. His hair is a curly mop of chocolate brown which is often as tousled as his clothes.
Personality:
Armand can be rude and can also be charming. He is more often rude, for he is more often working. He is unwaveringly honest and despises liars and conmen, who he regards as the fifth of society. He is stubborn and impatient always, and his determination is firm. He can be an incorrigible flirt. Despite his mercurial ways, Armand is a gentleman first and foremost and regards loyalty, honesty and justice as chief virtues of mankind.
History:
Armand and his twin brother, Louis, were born in a prison cell to a woman convicted of murdering her lover, their father, a nobleman. Directly after his birth his mother was hanged for her crime and the brothers were raised in an orphanage. He was given the name Armand after the landlord of the establishment in order to pay off a debt and the surname Faure, his mother’s. He was a mischief maker from the start and loved to play pranks upon his benefactors, who despite their responsibility were not fond of the little devil. He was a rebel and hated following rules or accepting authority. When they turned twelve years old Armand convinced his more grounded and responsible twin to leave the orphanage and make their own way.
Living on the street was difficult, and between Louis’ honest work and Armand’s stealing they were just barely able to remain fed and clothed. At seventeen they were able to get work at the Opera Populaire, Louis as an usher and Armand as a stagehand. The pay was much better than their former employments and they were able to afford a cheap apartment in a less formidable part of Paris. Louis married in 1887 at age twenty and a year later was blessed with a son, Lucien. After six years of employment at the Opera Populaire and lots of saving, Louis and Armand were able to purchase orchestra seats to Don Juan Triumphant for Louis’ wife. That night as the chandelier crashed down, Louis as usher and his wife in the orchestra seating were killed.
Armand was devastated, and the tragedy completely changed him. Forced take on the responsibility of rearing the difficult four-year-old Lucien, who had become impossibly rebellious and bitter after the death of his parents, he became more like his now deceased brother. He hated the so-called ‘Phantom’ and all con-men like him, and vowed to put him and all like him behind bars. He joined the Paris police academy and quickly excelled with his determination and tireless dedication to the cause of delivering justice. After two years the Opera House was rebuilt and Armand immediately began investigation of the tragedy in order to ascertain the whereabouts of the Phantom of the Opera.
