It was a gorgeous day, not one to spend inside, or anywhere near the opera house in-fact. Honestly, Marget had gotten tiered of the place. There had been no sign of the Phantom for quite some time, and the current opera required everyone's attention, including her cousins'. No one would listen to here stories, not even the acting manager who normally quite enjoyed them, or so Maggie thought. On the edge of the street she noticed a pastry shop, she felt her pocket to be sure that none of her franks had been snatched by pixies. It was quite likely that they lived around here, for there were so many aristocrats with enough money to create a city with. Oh so you didn't know? Yes, in the world of Maggie DePaul, pixies build their cities out of spare franks they snatch from passers-by. Maggie's head began to spin with thoughts of wealthy pixie cities where one would certainly never go without money.
As this thought crossed her mind she saw a tiny boy who looked about six, hiding under a bench. Marget smiled at him. He winced and slid farther back under the bench. Maggie thought for a moment, then rushed into the pastry shop. She came out with a large cupcake coted in tiny sprinkles with a strawberry on top. She knelt down under the bench and handed it to the boy. He took and giggle, then scampered away.
Maggie felt her pocket to see if she had any money left. She snapped her finger. 'Pixies' she thought. She sat down and pulled out her notebook and began to scribble down her thoughts about the rebellious little creatures.

Celestine wandered the streets looking for things to buy. She had nothing important to do to day so she decide to do a bit of shopping. With her two brothers always busy working at the opera house, the lest she could do was make sure they where fed. For they had always got so caught up in there work that they some time for got to eat. Any one that was her would see that she was clad in a lavender colored dress. The style of it was quite popular with the upper class woman, and wore her hair down with a nice spring bonnet to keep it form blowing in the wind.
Walking down the street she was an all to familiar face. "Maggie?!" she said quite surprised to see her little cousin so far form the opera house. "What are you doing here, I thought our maid was watching you." she said a bit upset tough it was not the girl fault she was only 12 after all. Being form a semi upper class upbringing it was always up to a maid/governess to watch such a young child, tough Cele's did like spend time with Maggie when she could, she was all most like a sister perhaps even a daughter to her.

"Oh!" Maggie looked up from her notebook to see Celestine. She grinned. "Hello cousin!" She put her notebook down, a bit disappointed to see the end of her tale for now. She had only just gotten to the good part. She had not spoken to her cousin in quite a while, and she enjoyed listening to her talk about the way things were before she had come to the Opera House. She pictured Celestine as a princess the way she spoke of her past home. Maggie had never been very wealthy and her father would never accept anything from his brother. "Oh, the maid. Is she still locked in the closet?" Maggie asked. As soon as she said it she regretted it. But it was far to tempting, the lady couldn't tell a decent story if her life depended on it.

"Oh, the maid. Is she still locked in the closet?" Margret had asked. Celestine gave a look of udder sock, but let out a slight giggle which she stopped right away. While she did find it quite amusing she was the adult here and need to let Margret know it was not ok to do such a thing. "Oh dear, that was not every nice Maggie. I do hope she gets out ok." she said. It would take to much time to get back to the poor lady and by then she would most likely have been let out.
"Be sure to say your sorry to her when you get back." she added, she hated being sticked with the girl, but she wanted Maggie to grow up like a proper young lady. She took a seat down next to the girl placing her basket next to her. "So what are we to do now?" she asked she was almost done shopping and since she had Maggie with her now they had might was well think of some thing fun to do. Celestine was always busy dancing and helping out with the opera house, and she and Maggie spent less and less time together.

Maggie grinned and jumped up. "We shall have to go to the park! There is a nest full of goose eggs there! We might be able to see the mother chase away onlookers!" Maggie was glad to finally get to spend some time with her cousin. She loved hearing stories about Celestine's childhood. She reminded her of a princess the way she spoke of her old life. Though Maggie knew that Celestine hadn't been what most would call rich, she liked to pretend. Perhaps it was the fact that Maggie's childhood was such a blur before the Opera Populair that she was so interested in Celestine's.
Maggie bent over and stuffed her notebook in the secret pocket of her dress. Which she noticed that her pocket was quite dirty. She felt around, and saw that it was filled with dust, candy from many years ago and several pencils. But the strangest object was another notebook. Maggie pulled it out and replaced it with her current one. Maggie smiled down at it, it was maroon and furry. In large red letters the front read:
Maggie's Journal Maggie opened the journal. The first few pages had been ripped out. But the first page she could see was covered in tiny drawings of scribbles. In the midst of the mad scribbles Maggie saw several different images, an eye, a smile, and a tiny button-nose. Could she have drawn this when she was little. She held it out to Celestine. "Have you seen this before?"
