The stables were always a perfect place to practice one's balance. The rafters running across the tops were wide enough for one to walk on, but still thin enough that concentration was needed to keep from falling. However, if one did fall, there was a large pile of hay at the bottom to make the fall a little less devastating. Evera de Chagny was walking across these rafters with her practice dress on, her point shoes tied around her feet. As of now she was just getting the feel, measuring out the width of the rafter so she would know what she was working with.
After a few paces, she moved testily into a glissade en arrière. Finding herself a little more confident, she slowly, elegantly produced a tour de promenade. She smiled slightly and sat down on the rafter, looking at a beautiful, gray Andalusian stallion eating hay in the stall below her. "Constantine." She called softly to her horse, who lifted his head and nickered.
She smiled at the stud, then heard the stable door open. She lifted her head, curious.
