That's the one! It's great! But my mom wouldn't let me stay up until midnight and read it. *pouts*

Yay! I just finished it! I'm so happy! It was great! Unfortunetly it was kind of spoiled since I saw the movie first. But it was still really good!

Oh my gosh! I remember the first time I read Phantom... it was amazing. The ending and the epilogue made me bawl.
Phantom by Susan Kay is spectacular as well, I would suggest reading that, too. Though I wouldn't have suggested it if you hadn't read the book because there's a lot of stuff from the original Leroux book that's mentioned in Kay's, so it wouldn't make sense to read Kay's book before Leroux... if that made any sense whatsoever, xD
But since you've read Leroux, there's no doubt that you should read Kay, :]

Yay! I think I'm going to do something from the Crucibal for speech class so I'll probably read that next. But then I'll see if I can find Susan Kay's. I heard that the one she wrote was more about Erik's life then Leroux's version.

Mhm, it's about from when Erik was born until, basically, when he died. And it's not just written from Erik's point of view, which is the cool thing, ^^;; I loved it and have read it several times for projects & such.

Susan Kay is most definitely a talented writer, and the Phantom book is amazing. I can't even express how much. I haven't read the original (-bawl-), but I made a promise that when I did, it would be the really old print that ma cheri tante Charlotte gave me in the original French. My French is basically all just good for speaking, so I haven't gotten around to it. It's hard to get through.
