Celestine sat at a table in the cafe waiting for her brother Andrew to show up. While they where only half siblings Celestine saw and treated him like a full brother. While he was much older then her, she was very fond of him.
They had made a habit of going out once in a while to go to have cafe and have some tea. Andrew was always busy doing some thing for the opera house, so Cele's found this as a bit of a treat to get to spend so quality time with him. Once in a while there brother Jacob would join them, but he mostly liked staying at the opera house to flirt with the ballet girls.
Cele's wore a very pretty light pink dress with black trim. Her hair was put up in the normal fashion for girls her age. She looked every much like a lady of a high class family, tough she was not. Andrew was pretty much her care taker, while she was living away for her parents, and all ways sure she dressed like a lady when not in her usual ballet outfit.

Andrew rushed into the busy cafe, breathless, he looked around for Celestine and spotted her on his right, he smiled harriedly. "Good morning, or afternoon, or whatever it is," He smiled and kissed her on the cheek, "You look lovely. How has your day been, so far?"

She looked up as her brother rushed into the door. "I didn't think you where going to make it brother." she smiled. "It's now the afternoon, and I'm doing just fine dear brother. What about your self? Busy as ever with the opera house I see." she added with a smile about his complement to her.
She really did dislike seeing her brothers over working them self, but they seemed to take grate joy in it. She also hoped that he was not keeping him for any important work that he needed to get done, but he did need to take a brake once in a while.

ooc: I'm very sorry for the delay, things have been insane for me, lately.
bic: "But of course," Andrew said with a grin, "I'm losing ballerinas, right and left, my maestro is a drunk, and the chorus girls are modest. Things are absolutely topsy-turvy. But, oddly, I'm enjoying myself." He took a long drought of the coffee a waiter had brought him and reveled in the feeling of actually being stationary for a moment. "And what of you, little sister? What amazing things have you preoccupied yourself with while I was in my work-frenzy?"

"Well your are doing a marvelous job." she smiled then took a sip of her tea. "Oh I have been doing the normal. Reading, practicing my dance moves, exploring the opera house, meeting new people." she said. To say the lest she was having a grand time there. Tough she was surprised that she had been allowed to continued to practices here ballet there. Her brothers know owing the opera house it really was not considered proper for a lady like her to be a ballet girl. Before it had been ok back before her brothers became so successful. But perhaps her brothers would not let her perform in the shows but where merely letting her practice because she knew she loved it. If that was the case she would be up set, but she would also respect her brothers wishes. Tough she was sure she would be allowed to preform.
"So what do you think of all the stories of the Phantom of the opera?" she randomly blurted out. Tough it had always been a question she wanted to ask one of her brothers she never had the time to do so, and now seemed better then never.

Andrew furrowed his brow at his sister's peculiar question. "Now, why would you ask about such a thing?" He smiled forcedly, "I think the phantom started out as rumors and old wives' tales that someone took advantage of. If there ever were truly a phantom--which I question--he most certainly died in the fire. Should anyone try and take advantage of the story of the 'Opera Ghost' they shall meet much less gullible managers." He sipped his tea and bit into a scone, "Have you heard anything of 'Monsieur Fantome?'" He kept his tone carefully nonchalant.

"I have just hear so many stories form the ballet girls that I wanted to know what you tough." she said sipping her tea. She knew her brother would not believe such things, but she was still curious. Tough he was probably right that if there ever was a Phantom he was long gone. Tough she still loved to hear the stories. "No I have heard nothing but the stories that the girls have told me. If he where real I'm sure you'd deal with him allot better then the previous owners." she said agreeing with him on he and Jacob being less gullible.

He stared piercingly at his sister, trying to decide what her angle had been by asking such an odd question. She certainly wasn't saying all that she knew. Though, knowing Celestine, the truth would manifest itself sooner or later, so Andrew wasn't particularly worried. "Definitely. I have no patience for con artists, particularly vain ones," He paused before adding with a humorous smile, "Though, in truth, I haven't really encountered a humble one." He finished off his second biscuit and drained the last of his tea, "I'm terribly sorry, dear one, but I need to get back to the opera house." He stood and kissed her on the forehead, "Would you like me to escort you back or are you wanting to stay here and enjoy a slightly more leisurely brunch?"

How terribly late he was. Usually Jacob Leroux was one to be very punctual. Though ever since he became a co-owner to the Populaire with his brother it seemed he was less and less able to manage his time. Like now he had been reluctantly trying to find out why all the dancers were leaving from asking some of the ones that still remained. How he dreaded speaking to those overly friendly ballet rats. And ultimately in the end he was found out nothing worthwhile and was late for a lunch with Andrew and dearest Celestine. The reason he was doing all this.
Preferring to use the carriage to walking in the busy city streets he probably lost even more time. But finally he had arrived café in the nick of time when Andrew was getting up from the table. For his lack of promptness he didn’t except to get much of a brotherly greeting from him, not that they usually shared one. With a flushed face of nerves he trotted up to the table.
“Sorry about my tardiness.” Jacob said in his gentle voice. He merely scanned the sour look on his brother face before looking at the serene one of his sister. Her face glowed from the light hitting it, not that it needed its help. A short intake breath entered his lungs as he admired the simple beauty of Celestine. “You look lovely this afternoon sister.” He said more softly before glanced at Andrew and gave a small nod of greeting.
Pressing his shoulders back he rounded to table to fill the chair that had been vacant before. A cup of tea was promptly brought to him, which he only took an idle sip of.

"It's quite understandable Andrew." she smiled, she knew how busy her brothers where and she didn't want to keep any of them form doing it. She was about to accompany Andrew back when Jacob showed up. "Hello Jake, and thank you" she smiled as she greeted him. She had always called him by his nickname. "I'll stay here a bit longer with Jake." she said to Andrew. "Don't work to hard." she added and gave Andrew a quick hug before sitting back down.

Andrew nodded tersely at his brother, scarcely acknowledging his presence, "Jacob." He patted Celes on the head, "I shall see you both at the opera house, later, then." Spinning on his heel, he hurried out of the cafe--feeling slightly clearer-headed, he hoped that he would finally be able to accomplish some work.

Without even inquiring if he was well this day Jacob let his half-brother leave without the slightest hint of a second glance. Some might think that they hated each other when really they where just indifferent to the other. With Andrew situation and Jacob’s personality neither made much of an effort to be friends, simply semi-polite relations. Actually if it weren’t for their sister then they probably wouldn’t talk to each other. Speaking of her.
Jacob gave his usual shy smile at her thanks. He only wished he could say more, unfortunately that would be entirely inappropriate. It seemed that he could write a poem about her everyday, but he never dared to write them on paper for fear of someone finding them and discovering his sinful secret. He even made sure never to write about women or stars. He kept to what people would expect him to put to paper, dark things.
Taking another sip of his tea while peeping over the rim as she graceful sat down from parting with their brother. At least he didn’t have the audacity to be jealous at that when he would be when she would smile at another man. He knew that unlike him, his two siblings had a nice normal relationship. One that he wasn’t sure if he would wish to have or not.
”I hope you are well Celes?” He was sure that she was other wise he would have already known. Jacob made sure that she was always well and if she wasn’t he was there to try and comfort her. Luckily people saw that as over protectiveness. ”I’m sorry that we actually have to schedule a time so we can spend time together. What with your practices and rehearsals and me trying run the House.” Jacob gave a half smile. He really wished they could just randomly go off and do something like they used to be able to do. ”It’s dreadful hard for someone like me.” He said with a small chuckle to reasure that he was joking even though truthfully he wasn’t, ”I bet your having loads of more fun being in the crops de ballet.”

"Oh I'm having a wonderful time, Jake. The girls are really nice and they tell me awesome stories about the opera house. Tough I to wish I could spend more time with you." she smiled weakly. They where always every close when they where younger, always doing fun things. But they seem to slow down once they got older and stopped all together once the opera house was bought. But she was glad to have such an opportunity to be apart of such a thing. Plus it would have been kind of odd still playing games with one's brother.
"I'm sorry to hear that Jake." she said about his comment about who it was hard for him. But she saw him laugh, so it seemed all good. "I wish you and older brother got along better." she said, she always knew they where indifferent and she could under stand but she wanted them to get along more. "Sometimes it fells like I'm the only thing keeping you two together. What will happen to you once I go off and get married." she said, tough at the time she didn't like the thought of marriage, she liked being free and her own self. But she knew it was some that was going to happen and that it was not far off. She hated talking about things like this, it always made her sad but she wanted them to get along.

His brows arched up in a quizzical way at the mention of the girls being nice. From what he’d seen they were vultures. Always trying to further their career or personal life in some way or another. Never in his life had been flirted with as much as with the chorus girl and ballet rats. Maybe she had been lucky enough to have only associated with the ones that held themselves with respect for their dignity.
At least she was having a good time. That’s all that really mattered., and he would endure the constant need to be social for her. It was the least thing he could do for her being his best friend, and if she did know about his attraction that she never spoke a word of it. So he would grin and bare it. The smile however faded a little when she mentioned their brother. Celestine was the only one that brought it up because she truly was the common link between them. ”You know his feelings about mother marrying our father. I merely respect his wish of disdain.” That was his usual answer.
His mood though became grimmer though when she mentioned her getting married. He had thought many times of how lovely she would look in a wedding dress, but he never wished to see her in one. A shadow came over his face and he took another sip of tea trying to hide the obvious dislike of the idea. Putting the empty cup down he bowed his head before fixing before fixing a sad looking smile. ”I’m afraid I will lose my only sunshine when you do.”
Fidgeting with the cup in his hands he stared at Celes a bit before getting up the courage to ask a question he really didn’t want to know the answer to. ”Do you have someone you fancy?” He tried to play it off jokingly and was able to choke out a chuckle or two. Jacob wanted to think that she was still to young even consider settling down. However he knew that ever since the Opera house was bought that their parents were thinking about suitors.

For cores she only hung out with the girls she knew where quite decent like Meg. And she stayed away form the others who often hounded her with questions about her brothers love life. Of cores she left this part out. It was none of her business to get into to personal lives of her brothers.
"Your right that is true. It's just some times odd because he likes me even tough me and you are blood related. But I guess it's because you look more like father." she said. She didn't know if this was the right answer but it was the only one she could think of.
"Oh Jake" she smiled. "Whatever happens I'll make sure we stay close." she said and touched his hand. She was almost oblivious to his true feelings for her, but often she got the hit of some thing more then just brotherly love. But she thought is was just her over active imagination so she just took it has him being over protective of her. She saw that his face did seem to turn a bit grimm when she talked about getting married. But she pushed it into the back of her mind.
She took a sip of her tea then put the cup down. "Well I have meet our new patron Monsieur Marcellinus, and I dare say he's quite handsome." Other then that I really have no fancy for any man. But I do hope to some day find my knight in shining armor." she said with a giggle, she always some now magged to find away to bring up fairy tales in whatever she was talking about.
